This week we take a bit of time to catch up with everyone, and by a ‘bit’ I mean nearly 30 min. We hear about some of Drew’s life-changing events in Mozambique, and Jeff’s adventures in Montreal. The tl;dr is that while Drew was eating Rice and beans and cabbage daily, Jeff was enjoying gourmet delights that most have only dreamed of. Then with that out of the way, we delve into the delights of E3. What do we hope to hear? What could Microsoft possibly do to save their line-up? Will we hear a release date for Ni No Kuni II? We’re cautiously optimistic, but we’re not holding our breath for anything too spectacular, call us old and jaded.. it’s Episode 129 of the LittleBigKast!

We start the show right off the top discussing the beauty of Horizon Zero Dawn and our cautiously optimistic expectations. We spend a good amount of time talking about our parenting struggles and how we sometimes fail spectacularly at parenting. Drew confesses to tripping his youngest… on purpose. Jeff talks about his youngest and his inclination towards outlets. Robin reveals that she once gave herself a reverse mohawk. It’s a fun-filled discussion about that game/life balance. This episode is thick. It’s a big one. After The game Awards and PSX we take some time to recap them both and weigh in on what’s new in the Playstation world. The PS4 sells 50 million units and of course we talk about all our favorite games from NMS, to Titanfall 2 to Ni No Kuni II. There’s more gaming than we can handle right now! Sit back and enjoy this meaty episode of the LittleBigKast!Continue reading
We deliver a full course meal on this episode. Robin, Jeff, and Drew spout off on their T-Day fun, and all the gaming from the weekend. We discuss the merits of Titanfall 2, and of course get into No Man’s Sky and whether or not the Foundation upgrade makes it worth picking up. Drew pontificates on a new segment, Drews News and Candy Reviews. Robin expounds on Final Fantasy XV and Jeff can’t figure out when exactly the Game Awards will be on Thursday. Just another day with LBK trying to balance games and life…
In this episode things get derailed before we even get started. Jeff brings up the state of things with Hello Games and No Man’s Sky and we revisit their current PR situation…before we even get a chance to talk about ourselves! Of course we catch you up on our simplistic, uneventful lives, and then cover all the Playstation news that is fit to print. We talk about new Pro controllers, The Last Guardian, and Shawn Levy directing an Uncharted movie in the future… and we talk about PSVR a fair bit.Continue reading
In this episode we combine forces to discuss important news in gaming. Mascot Glenn joins us and we let Jeff take us deep into the world of Destiny Rise of Iron and even deeper into understanding the secret “Outbreak Prime” quest. We ponder on what it might take for us to have enough time on our hands to put into a puzzle of that complexity. Kudos! to those who figured it out, AND to the dev team who made it. We also take a deeper look at the continued fan reaction and pending lawsuits surrounding the No Man’s Sky overhype. We wish Sean Murray the best, NMS is a fantastic game and we got what we expected. If you’re spending $60 on a game…do a little foot work to see if it’s going to be what you think it is. Simple as that.
Welcome everybody, to the 106th episode of the LittleBigKast. On this episode, you’ll get to hear Jeff talk about how winner’s win, and about his experience teaching a group of kids what he enjoyed growing up. Drew, Robin, and Rachel all go over some of their experiences so far involving No Man’s Sky, and other happenings in our busy lives. Also you’ll get to hear what Robin’s thoughts on Suicide Squad, and the reason why Jeff had to miss out on it. What were our thoughts on No Man’s Sky? How have we all been finding the game/life balance? I guess you’ll just have to listen to this episode and find out.
I swear we talk about more than Pokemon on this episode. Listen and laugh at us compare our gaming and life stories with Drew taking the gold this week for his impromptu trip to California (thanks Vidpresso!). Robin fights to game through the gorgeous world of Abzu with a two-week migraine while Rachel tries her impression of Jeff being excited for the Destiny news we discuss. Our lovely mascot, Glenn, jumps in with his PG-rated thoughts on Overwatch and his world of culinary jetsetting!

You know what we’re going to talk about here. It’s what everyone is talking about: Pokemon Go! Our experimental setup in Drew’s casa with Vidpresso and his new recording toys makes it easier for Rachel to show us exactly how to trade in Pokemon for candy…of the same name…and the same pokemonish consistency…oh lawd, are we “transferring” our Pokemon to a meat grinder!?
Our bite-sized episode covers all the news we think you should care about, our fun lives including Drew’s stint in (filming) the NBA and Jeff’s new job *confetti and marching bands*
We’re nearly there, but we just weren’t ready to cross the 100 episode mark yet! At least not without Rachel and Drew, so we asked Mascot Glenn and star Patreon @Spar1an to join us for episode 99.5. We delve into our hopes and dreams for E3. The long and short is that we fear the whole show will be about hardware and sequels… while we want to hear about new IPs and new games. From No Man’s Sky details to a new Naughty Dog IP in 2018, the whole team does some solid dreaming.
Join us for Lunch! We got a little crazy this weekend, and even though we couldn’t make our regular schedule work out, we found a way for 3 of us to meet up for a lunch on Saturday. We figured a delicious mini-episode would be better than going without us for a whole week! SOooo without further ado, on todays abbreviated show- Rachel works 3 jobs, and beats Broforce, Robin recounts her adventures in wrestlemania, and Drew thinks he’s going to learn to code. …It’s an informal Epsiode 93 of the LBK… Welcome!
Welcome to Episode 89! Jeff, Rachel, Drew and Glenn talk about the balance. While Robin continues to do the balance. Jeff fills us in on his time with The Division and Rachel describes her Bro-Force binge. We all discuss the forthcoming VR world and try to launch the idea that whoever makes educational content for VR now, could probably write their own check when VR actually hits the “Mass Market.” Then we settle into our topic – ‘How do you explain your gaming lifestyle to non-gamers?’ It’s apparent Jeff gets this flack more than anyone else. Watch him get fired up! It’s 89: Serious about Gaming, Welcome!
